What are the highlights of Kemah in your opinion? I plan on going there this weekend.
The entire boardwalk is fun. We enjoy just walking around and riding the rides. They have a few rides (ferris wheel and a pirate ship thing that goes back and forth) that I have ridden. There is a new powerboat ride that I will be going on later this week when we go again.

Are you from the Houston area?

The boat ride was great! High speed on the water. My shades were pressed against my face due to the wind. The water splashing out the sides of the boat was 10-15 feet high! It was well worth the $9/person.

We're from San Antonio.

heh,

I just spent a week with a bunch of texans on a cruise ship out of galveston... some of the nicest and friendliest people I've cruised with.

but what's with the traffic on I-45? When we were driving out of galveston to houston on sun, traffic going the other way (towards galveston) was bumper to bumper all the way from houston. Some people from San Antonio almost missed the boat because the traffic was so bad.

We did the boat ride yesterday. I sat in the far back left corner (when looking forward) of the boat and that was definitely not the seat to sit in. I was soaked halfway through the ride and it only got worse the second half.

I have eaten at joe's once in my life. I found the service to be mediocre, the food to be average and the prices to be outrageous. Needless to say I never went back.
