Interesting lunch at Joe's Crab Shack in Kemah, TX

The GF and I went to eat lunch down at the Kemah boardwalk in Kemah, TX and decided to "Eat at Joe's." Well since it is a nice day and they have seating right on the water we decided to eat outside. Turns out that was a mistake. We waited 30 minutes for our food to be delivered since they were busy and when it arrived my GF had to send hers back and wait another 20 minutes for lunch. Now why did she have to send it back you ask?

Not more than 10 seconds after the waiter served her sandwich a bird flew by and sh!t right on top of the Monterey chicken.

 
Yeah, Joe's is always busy... especially in the evenings. But you guys were lucky that the bird didn't sh1t on you.
 
bwahahaha 😛 There's a Joe's Crab Shack about an hour away from me an Ft. Walton Beach. It's a neat little place (even though it's actually big) 🙂

LOL...at least you SAW the bird do it and you didn't either not see the poo in the first place or have it come like that when the waiter delivered it. Could've been worse. Hope they at least gave her a free sandwich....

Why should it be free? Because the restaurant didn't anticipate that a bird might fly by if the customer was sitting outside? Clearly he should sue.

It was a brand new sandwich including cole slaw and fries. The entire meal was redone.

They did end up waiting 30 minutes for the food to be delivered in the first place, then another 20 minutes for a new sandwich. Agreed, not exactly their fault, but SOME people probably would've sued Joe's for something that wasn't their fault. In a country where you can sue Mickey Ds for burning yourself with coffee, anything's possible.

That's what you think. Cole slaw and fries are always recycled...standard restaurant operating procedure. 😀
 
For those of you want to argue if the replacement was free or not, let me make it simple. Yes, he replaced it for free and asked if he could bring us anything else (drink wise) to make up for it. We did not take him up on the free drinks since it was not their fault and they should not take anymore of a loss than they already did.
 
You went to a seafood resturant and your girlfriend ordered chicken?

Ours went out of business in Durham, NC. Bad location for it or anything else. I dunno what they were thinking.
 
A while back when I driving past the local Joe's here I saw a guy standing by the street in front of the restaurant with a big sign that said Joe's = food poisoning. :Q
 
Restaurant should have made you pay for the second one. Not their fault the bird had to Crap there. Next time bring an umbrella.

Darn, everytime I drove there I wanted to eat at that place. When I visit again during the winter, I am going to have to come by 🙂

The entire boardwalk is fun. We enjoy just walking around and riding the rides. They have a few rides (ferris wheel and a pirate ship thing that goes back and forth) that I have ridden. There is a new powerboat ride that I will be going on later this week when we go again.

Are you from the Houston area?

 
I live in Clear Lake. And I love going down to Kemah. It is very nice for dates. The Aquarium is my favorite place but its kinda pricey.

My brother said the aquarium is a nice place. I'll have to bring my girlfriend there one night while we are down here.
