But when you talk to Steven Joe, the President and CEO of networking giant D-Link North America, you get to understand why the company has managed to thrive and beat many of its competitors. Last year the company launched about 60 products and is on track to deliver about the same this year, and commands a leading position in various networking segments, including USB, wireless, and low-end routers.

I wonder if you can point me to few sentences in the Article that might explain/highlight under stand any thing that has to do with D-Link hardware and its functioning in specific.

It looks to me as a useless ?General Truth? article that if you replace the word D-Link with any other Network manufacturer you wouldnot know the difference.

Besides, the premise that there is one manufactures that is doing good stuff across the board and thus a person should only the specific bard hardware is ?silly at best?.

If I want a Good Wireless 802.11g Router (WDS too) for a decent price I would buy one of the Buffalo line.

If I want an inexpensive 802.11g Super for casual work I would buy a D-Link.

If I want rock bottom cheap WDS I would buy the Belkin 802.11g.

If I want Inexpensive Jumbo Frame Switch, I would buy the SMC Giga Switch.

If I want a pre 802.11n I would buy the Linksys SRX.

So which one of these is the better, best, Brand?

I'm currently using two
DGS-3324SRI switches at work. We are using them to connect two segments via fiber. I would have prefered to go with cisco hardware, but when you work for a school budgets are tight and we can't afford the best stuff. Dlink hasn't let me down at all with their hardware. Personally i wouldn't buy any of there unmanaged stuff though.

I have a DI-604 router that has been running rock-solid for a couple of years, but I also have a POS DI-614+ (or 624) Wireless Super G router that had the wired ports crap out after like 3 months of usage. The wireless portion of it worked great for those months...its still sitting under my bed as I have no use for the wireless anymore really
