Personally, I don't think anyone outside the region should care in particular, and the international meddling just prolongs the conflict and makes things grim for both sides. But I follow the program...

1. The rest of the world stops its obsession about this conflict, not just the US;

2. US cuts off military funding to ALL Middle Eastern countries. With the Soviets gone, there's no one to balance by giving away weapons to Israel.

It's a fringe right Israeli website, their name apparently meaning something along the lines of "blocking the left" according to this translation of their facebook page. For the Israeli "left" they are attempting to block, see B'Tselem's recent statement on the matter, notably:

Those are artillery shells, not tank shells. Presumably they're writing "Please stop indiscriminately shooting rockets at us and we'll stop shooting these back at you."

Edit I knew I'd seen that photo before. http://www.israellycool.com/2006/07/19/liveblogging-the-war-wednesday-july-19th/ The shells are not being fired into Gaza, they're being fired into Lebanon after Hezbollah rocketed Israel for months and then launched a cross-border raid on an Israeli patrol. And the message is "Nazrala with love From Israel" so the shells are clearly intended to be fired at combatants.
