Just reading old Nintendo Power mags at 3 in the morning, ya know, living the good life. Came across this from the 1991 December issue:

20 years later, Super Mario Galaxy was released. Coincidence?...............Yes, yes it was. Neat none the less.

I love his optimism about a 512-bit system playing every game there ever will be 😛

Wow you have a Nintendo Power from 1991? When should we tune in to see your episode of Hoarders? ^_^

Let's dissect Jimmy's letter.

"A 512-bit system that can display 27,876,992 colors"
-The AMD Radeon 6990 has 2x256-bit data bus. Hey, that adds up to 512-bit.

"Could play any game from any game system that ever was or will be"
-Emulators, console ports

"You can even buy a special chip that would allow you to make your own games for it"
-Hello homebrew and amateur coding

"27 button controller"
-Keyboard and mouse

"There would be a miniature band inside that knew how to play any song"
-It's called iTunes

"Would cost $259.95"
-Which is $433.04 in today's money, close I guess

Little Jimmy was a visionary. That's gaming in 2011 in a nutshell. :awe:

Wonder what became of him. I'd laugh if he's working in IT or gaming. He goes by code1superstar apparently on various websites. Google is a wonderful thing.
