Interesting emergency scrolly at the bottom of my tv screen...

Earlier today, all of Jacksonville, FL was without power.

Just a few minutes ago, they scrolled the emergency thingy across the bottom of the screen saying how much progress they have done restoring the power. During it though, this scrolled across

Now if they dont have power, how the hell are they supposed to see that?

Personally I have a generator, battery powered prtable TV's, weather radios, ...you name it! I mean we are in the lightning capital of the world and we do get hurricanes, Tornados, Blah blah blah That is pathetic though

Just because there is no power does not mean there are no phone lines active. I have two UPS units that will power my cordless and there is always an old rotary on stand by.
