Interesting email I got this morning....

So I check my email as usual this morning and i see an email with the subject:

Your account shows we owe you money!

Well I kinda figured it might be spam but I open it anyway and sure enough its an advertisement for a credit reduction service.

Now legally can they do this?

I am thinking about goign to their web page finding a number and calling them demanding they give me the money they owe me, after all they said they owe me money and I have the proof. Besides if they waste my time fooling me into opening their email I figure i owe them by wasting their time repeatedly anytime i am bored and have nothing better to do. 😀

I wonder how many supervisors I can go through before they hang up on me...

What you guys think should i have a bit of fun with this?

also where can i report them for doing this..

I sure would !! 🙂

I am always doing things like that, and usually get hung up on within 5 minutes (I get rowdy on the phone 😉 )

Also, email them a bill back detailing the charges they incurred for your time 'reviewing' their email. 😉

You know when you're looking at webpages, and they say "send this page to a friend" put their e-mail into it. Send them lots of pages to look at!🙂

Spam sorting service $200/hr. (@ 2 min to read so $6.67!)
plus Call back service $150/hr. (@ 15 min on the phone so $10!)
😉

Kk

i mean seriously...i know and accept the fact ill get spam and usually the subject line is blatant enough to inform u its spam so u just delete it....but this ..it took time for me to open it..get mad at them....time i could have spent on Off Topic for gosh sakes!!! 😀

nevermind their link wont go to a homepage with a number.....ill find it though when i get home...bastards

If I don't know the name or the email address of the sender I usually don't open it, unless the subject is clearly not spam.

I do that, too. I ended up deleting a message informing me that I had won a $100 Office Depot Gift Card! Luckily sender called me a couple days later when I didn't respond 🙂
