interested in more ram

looking to add another 2 x 256MB of KHX PC3500 to my system, only problem is the price...

i'm in aus and cas 2 PC3500 seems to be dissapearing everywhere, geil and OCZ are both offering 2.5 locally and corsair has no pc3500, only cas 3 pc3700 for sale.

i looked up kingston's site and their ratings for hyper x 3500 is now officially cas 2.5. then looked at synnex australia and it seems they are distributing cas 2.5 KHX PC3500 now. however they do seem to have some older stock of cas 2 256MB sticks of hyper x 3500 still on their inventory list... i could always go place an order for 2 sticks at work ASAP if it's worth it. 512MB of hyper x 3500 is gone, only 2.5 now.

rekon i should buy another 2 sticks before they're sold out too? or is cas 2 pc3500 likely to appear again?

this is actually a very price competetive store and it's what to expect price wise.

If you buy 2x256 of CAS 2.5 ram, you're gonna be forced to run all of your ram at at CAS of 2.5, even though the ram you already have now will do 2.0. If it's worth keeping it all at 2.0, then you're gonna have to buy more of the CAS 2.0. I personally would get some now, before the prices go even higher, but it's up to you, of course.

edit: That's not much more expensive than it is here, allowing for conversion to Aus. dollars.
