I don't think it should be a crime, but anyone that engages in that type of behavior is one SICK f*cker that needs to have their head examined.
What do you mean have their head examined?

from your previous post, you said animals do not have emotions...
you are such an idiot. i mean seriously...if you believe that, you are the king of all tools. id like to know how you are so sure they dont have feelings. obviously i cant know 100% either, but if you look at how they respond to tones and physical abuse, it is pretty obvious they have feelings.
abused dogs, for example, are very afraid of people for a long time, even after they are removed from the hostile environment. some animals get extremely excited to see a certain person - example: my dog does not get excited and jump around all over the place when people come home. he doesnt stop what he is doing for anyone and start wagging his tail out of control...that is all with the exception of me. when i walk in, my dog pisses himself sometimes because he is so happy to see me. why? i dont hit him, i dont yell at him, and i play with him all the time. he loves me and its obvious. you have to be a sick fvck to think animals arent capable of emotions like anger, love, fear, unhappiness, etc.
another example: they may not be able to sulk and cry like humans, but when they are sad the emotions are obvious. my friends dad died and the dog stopped eating. the dog had never done this before and never just sat around like it had nothing to live for. its almost as if the dog knew everyone was sad because people were crying and showing a lot of emotion. after about a week, i guess the dog figured out something was wrong since he ran into the guys room every morning to wake him up and play but he wasnt there anymore. the dog stopped eating almost completely and became depressed. it got better, but its like it was mourning, just like we do. it took time for the dog to get past it.
you dont have to believe me, but ive seen the look on my dogs face when he did something bad and he knows he let me down. its the same look you get from a small child when they did something you told them not to do and they realize it. just because they cant speak english doesnt mean they dont understand what we are doing. babies cant talk at 1-2 years old but they still know when you are pissed or happy. my niece cries if someone starts yelling because she is sensitive to it, and she gets extremely happy when people laugh. she cant talk. i dont know how that is different from a dog.

wow, you suck hardcore at comprehension. i never said we shouldnt eat them or kill them at all. i eat plenty of meat and i even hunt occasionally.
but you are an ignorant idiot if you think they dont have feelings. am i supposed to care if others agree with you? you havent presented an arguement to backup your assinine statement, so an army of morons standing firmly behind you means nothing.
i am still in awe of how stupid your reply was. i dont know how you got from animals having emotions to me being a vegan. that just makes no sense.
i dont think we have to respect them on a "moral" ground, but they dont need to be abused, either. its obvious that animals fear people and feel pain when you beat them. if you hit an animal just to cause it pain, you need to be beaten within an inch of your life so maybe you can learn to respect all forms of life. killing an animal to eat is fine, but if you make it suffer for no reason, you are scum. if you even try to argue that animals dont suffer, then it will be obvious you are just trolling because no one is that stupid.
