Intellimouse Explorer button

I have this weird problem with my Intellimouse Explorer mouse. The back and forward button doesn't work with my Netscape. I have the Intellipoint program installed. It works fine in Windows Explorer and IE. Need help.

Thanks. 🙂

But seriously though, there could just be compatibility problems with Netscape and the mouse, keeping in mind Microsoft made drivers specifically for Microsoft products. Make the switch to Internet Explorer. It's better. But that's another story.

Are you using Windows Millenium? Well, a couple of my friends have switched back to Win98SE because the "back" button refuses to work under Netscape, even with the Intellipoint software installed. Both of them contacted Microsoft(who said to contact Netscape) and Netscape (who said its Microsoft's problem)without any resolution to the problem under Windows Millenium and version 3.2 of the IntelliPoint software. So basically, the back button won't work under Netscape and WinME, at least until a newer version of the Intellipoint software or Netscape comes out.

lol... it worked fine the last time. I don't know what I installed or uninstalled which coz this problems. Oh well, maybe I should just try reinstalling the Intellipoint program.

No wonder, I just installed WinME.
thanks ashen_shugar. that was more of the information that i was looking for.

with my intellimoust optical and win me i just keep having problems, even with the latest intellipoint software. if i speed up my mouse too much is moves in a very jerky motion around the screen and i'm really limited to where i can move it. my back and foward buttons don't work with aol's browser, god forbid i'd have to use that. also sometimes the mouse just goes nuts for no reason, scrolling up and down the page randomly and not stopping. microsoft can't even make thier own software work with thier operating systems, now how pathetic is that?
