ok, 4.0 is much more comfortable..but the 3.0 performs a lot better....

to the casual user, it's not noticeable, but for me i can totally notice it.

does anyone know of any usb mouse tweaks i can use to improve the rate and precision?

Whats the stat difference between the 3.0 and 4.0. I have the 3 and love it, thinking about upgrading to the 4. Dpi difference, refresh rate?

4.0 in my opinion is the most comfortable mouse my hands have ever felt.

BUT...friggin the DPI and refresh rate difference seems inferior to the 3.0..WHY?!....

this sucks.

any other suggestions?

I have had the 3.0 for a long time and I usually have 3 fingers on my mouse. I tried out the 4.0 at the store, but those two grooves they put on it make it feel a bit cramped so I decided to stay with my 3.0.

at first I didn't like my 4.0, thinking i wasted $25... now I much prefer it over my smaller 3.0

You're saying you haven't installed the Intellipoint drivers for it yet ? I know for a fact the more recent drivers have issues (like some assignments don't even work). Could be other flaws. Or maybe installing it (or the previous versions) will help your issue rather than keeping windows' drivers. It's all software-controlled, no ?

i don't see much of a difference in refresh rate though...

use Logitech instead.

they always feel and work better IMO.

sorry, I had to be an ass in this case... I'm a huge Logitech fan.

my dad has the mx700

Yes it's nice and all, and rechargable...just that it forces me to put 3 fingers on top...i don't like that.

I like to hold my mouses w/ 2 on top w/ the ring finger rested on the side.

I read here that the new mouse has 800 dpi, but they might be wrong.

I also know that the wireless version has an extremely low refresh rate to conserve power, but I think the corded one stays at 125 hz.
