Intellimouse 3.0 or MX510?

I would go with the MX510,has 800 dpi and lastest optical sensor which makes it the newest and fastest optical mouse on the block.

i have an intellimouse 3.0 and i'm really starting to give the mx mice a hard look. not sure yet if i want cordless or not.

he is wrong 510mx's have highier resolution I belive 5.8mp over 5.3mp of the 500mx

iits not even close, the intellimouse 3.0 is old tech, its slow.. its ugly, its big.. by that i mean when you hold it the butt is too close to your palm. not a problem if you don't move the mouse at all with your fingers... the mx 510 has sensor 2 gens past the intellimouse, and well, it looks nicer🙂 i had an intellimouse 3.0, tossed it for an mx700 and that was a big difference. the mx510 has an even faster sensor then my mx700

I'm still very happy with my Intellimouse Optical 1.1A though, it has the same 6000Hz scanrate sensor engine as the Explorer 3.0, not sure about the dpi.

I have both a 3.0 Intellimouse Cordless and a Corded MX500...the intellimouse in on my secondary home theatre pc....nuff said. 🙂

mx310 is comparable to the mx500/700 in accuracy. They use the same sensor. So whatever has been said about the mx500 in here can be said about the mx310. The only difference is that the 310 is smaller and has less buttons.

Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 : 6000 images per second @ 400 dpi

I have the MX700 Mouse and do not care for it in when I'm gaming, but for everything else it's fine. The Intellimouse Explorer 3.0(a) has been satisfying me for years. 🙂

As we all know, specifications aren't everything (eg. LCD's).

I'd go with the MX510. I've tried it out alongside the Intellimouse Explorer 4.0, and the MX510 just felt better.
