Arguably the best IDE for Java development, JetBrain's IntelliJ IDEA, is on sale until Jan. 15, 2003 for $200 for a personal license. This is over half off the regular price of $459. Check it out:

If you haven't tried IntilliJ, a free fully-functional evaluation download is available. Give it a shot--the refactoring tools alone will likely make you an instant convert.
The Java development community is largely divided right now between IntelliJ and IBM's Eclipse, which is free and openly developed under a GPL license. The two IDEs share many of the same features, but I find IntelliJ to be much more polished in both feel and functionality. I'm not sure if the polish is worth $459, but at $200, I'm in!
You can't beat free when it comes to price, but sometimes it is worth forking over some bucks if something better is available.
