Hello!
I bought Intel XEON e5640 and i want to overclock it. I found only 1 motherboard Foxconn Flaming Blade and i wanna ask if it is possible to overlock to like 4,2GHz on this motherboard or should i look for another one?
 
Yeah, that board's weak.. To meet your goal you'll need 200 bclk & that's not a board that'll do that..
 
Ebay usually has a few 1366 boards, but they usually aren't that cheap. I think you would be better off with a new ryzen system. You should be able to get a far better 4c/8t for less than $300, and it's warranted and has an upgrade path.
