Hey, I thought sharholders love this kind of stuff and it's a good thing?

Now all off a sudden not so good?

Explain why.

Thank you

Because just like a liberal when things go bad you cheer cause it you blame it on Bush. The Dems platform Cheering for the downfall of the U.S. to regain power.

Bottom line your cheering while people are gonna be out of work! And that is sh!tty!

are you trying to say he is wrong?

Why does the left seem almost giddy when they here bad reports from Iraq? You have Crazies like this Dave guy cheering for bad news.

When did he say he was a liberal. He said he posted it because he thought the stock price would go up, not because it would hurt bush, you freaking loon.

No sh!t. WTF do liberals have to do with this? I'd consider myself more liberal, and I'm DEFINITELY not cheering when people get laid off. And what fvcking "liberals" do? That's just a fvcking moronic statement.

You all need to go see this guy at the P&N then. then you'll see loon! :p Sorry maybe I jumped the gun but with his posting history I felt it a safe assumption. Especially all the crap people were giving him earlier in this same thread.

You are such a troll.

No he's not. Especially if he's an investor of Intel. Job cut = saving = more income= possibly stock price goes up

Dave says buying stocks is for the rich. Every stock he buys loses money because of a giant conspiracy between the repubs & W, big business, and Desmond Tutu.

You guys know better. Don't feed the trolls. Does he need the black guy avatar before the mods finally do something?

So how much did you have to pay the mods to get Elite?

They should revoke that title and put forum tard in it's place. I feel for the rest of the elite crowd, it just cheapens it to have this idiot among the ranks.

OP needs to update Title

9-5-2006 Intel to cut 30% of workforce

"Most people are expecting a head-count reduction," said Eric Ross, an analyst with ThinkEquity Partners. The cuts are widely expected to be in the 10,000 range ? about 10 percent of Intel's work force. But Ross expects it to be higher.

"I think the numbers are going to surprise people," he said.

Why would the OP update the title? Otellini himself said it's going to be 10.5k in layoffs, attition, and selloffs. You're pulling the 30% number out of your ass.

What I don't get is how you're delighting in all of these tech workers getting laid off when you are the one who has been heading up the "Networking Support thread for the unemployed." That alone is enough to label you a troll.

Where did you get I'm delighted? It's shareholders that are thrilled.

Your first reply was with the emoticons "cool" and "thumbsup". That is the proper response when one approves of what he is quoting. Don't try to backpedal. Your trolling is apparent and disturbing.

Shareholders disagree with you:

9-6-2006 Intel shares fall nearly 3 percent - investors say job cuts not deep enough

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Shares of Intel Corp. fell nearly 3 percent Wednesday, a day after the world's largest chip maker announced more than 10,000 job cuts that some investors believed were not severe enough.

Many analysts and investors were expecting higher job cuts and a better-defined strategy for dealing with problem business units, said Nathan Brookwood, analyst with research firm Insight 64.

"This is not nearly as deep or as broad a cut as many had anticipated," he said. "They aren't talking about cutting back any substantial programs. They're saying, 'We can still do everything we were planning to do, but now we can do it with fewer people.' And I'm not certain that's a workable plan."

What the hell are you blathering on about? I said nothing with regard to shareholders. My comments were directed at YOU. How is the thread title incorrect? Intel will be losing roughly 10% of its workforce. You did NOT post that shareholders were happy with the layoffs in your first post, you posted emoticons "cool" and "thumbs up" in response to the thread title. You're dragging the "shareholders" in as a way to make it seem that you, who ironically got your elite title over the "Networking Support thread for the unemployed", weren't the one cheering on the layoffs of yet more tech workers. You get criticism directed at you and you point at someone else. "It wasn't me." Bullsh!t. Why don't you just crawl back under your P&N rock and quit trolling in Off Topic?

Wow, amazing, based on your post directed at ME personally as you said I must have fired those 10,000 people at Intel myself.

Didn't realize I had such power, thanks
