There's already a few mATX, FlexATX, and even a pair of ITX boards that support the P-M. One's even fully Centrino qualified. Nice to see Intel officially supporting it though. A P-M would make a helluva HTPC base.

I wouldn't want to without speedstep though. My 600m gets well above 40 degrees when I'm compiling stuff. It was really hot at work and it got to 51 once. Not the kind of thing I want to run without a fan.

Wow, this is very interesting.
Does this mean there will be built-in wireless as well ?

Keep in mind that airflow in a regular ATX-family case is going to be a few orders of magnitude above what you'd get in a laptop. :) I don't forsee it being an issue at all.

If the desktop solution is a "True Centrino" then yes. The Commell LV-671M only needs the Intel Pro 2100 MiniPCI card to be fully qualified. But then you don't get the MiniAGP slot allowing for the ATI M-series cards to be installed. :p

Absolutely! These would be ideal SFF processors because you could most probably run them passively and they are pretty zippy too.
