Hiya, I just built a system with a Celeron D 325 and an AOpen MX4SG-4DL board with the Intel i865 chipset. I'm normally an AMD boy, but I got excited about the Celly D's. My last system was a Celeron 2.6GHz on a MSI 655 Max board, and it was very stable, very clean and smooth running.
My Celly D system is running very well, except in some areas. The hardware monitoring programs that came with the board don't seem to run properly--it tells me that the CPU fan is not connected, but it is, and BIOS tells me CPU fan speed every time. The OCing program locks up my computer every time I try to run it. I am using the same parts from my previous system, except for PSU, processor, and mobo. Sometimes when I boot up, the system does not recognize the CDRW and DVD drives in the GUI. Other times, they're recognized correctly, but I cannot burn CD's. Nero and Roxio both tell me that no CDRW can be found. The system sometimes feels unstable and needs to be rebooted more than my old Celly 2.6.
Is it the chipset that is causing the problems, or could it just be the motherboard in general? Maybe something else? Any suggestions?
