INTEL SSDSA2MH160G2C1 X25M 160GB SATA 3.0 Gen 2, MLC, 2.5" Solid State Drive (bulk)

How about $414.99 instantly ? Now that is what I call a hot deal! Go to newegg.com add the 160 GB drive to your cart and then put in promotion code BFPEEKSSD160 to get $175 off instantly! I bought two! Just can't pass this deal up unless Intel is about to release their G3 series of SSDs.

That code doesn't work for me.

"Although you've entered a valid promo code BFPEEKSSD160, your order does not currently meet the code's usage criteria."

*edit* never you need to buy the OEM drive for it to work.

Yep. If you must have the retail drive Amazon may have it sooner or later for only a little bit more than $414.99 though it is not like you need it. Unless you really want the pretty box, brackets, SATA cable, etc. Thats if you plan on ever selling it in the future. Higher resell value!

OEM has a 1 year warranty, Retail has a 3 year. That's the main difference.

Nice, ordered another one as well, thanks for the heads up. Too bad there isn't a raid card that supports trim or else raiding these two would kick butt. 🙂

you can get smaller ssd's for closer to $100, but I just ordered a 2nd wd6400aaks to try out raid first. For just $59 I can find another use for it if raid isn't enough.

In for 1 @ $239 (there are easy-to-find $10 off coupon codes, but I can't post here per forum rules).

I bought the g2 80 gb drive last night from newegg for $215 w/ FS. it went oos last night, but this monring it showed back in stock. The retail and oem drive were same price, so I bought retail.
