this is so wrong on so many levels...

Intel Pros:
1. Its by intel.
2. Its backed by intel.
3. Intel SSD's have a record for holding the word "endurance"
4. On everyday normal things, u wont notice a difference in speed when u compare a faster SSD.
5. Intel honors the RMA on its own SSD's even tho they made by Crucial.
6. I wager an intel SSD will outlast all the other SSD any vendor can throw at. (ignoring SLC unless intel gets to bring out its SLC)

Cons:
1. They are probably one of the slowest drives u can buy looking at today's gen SSD.
2. They are typically the most expensive SSD's for a slower speed.
3. They only come in white... with a ugly sticker on the corner.... again today's gen Intel.
4. Did i mention they are about 15-20% more expensive then the competition, and even 30-40% more expensive on the high cap ones vs a samsung?

Overall... Intel is a great SSD.
Its a no headache, insta boost in speed.
However its not a SSD some people who are speed demons love.

You wont visually notice any speed difference... you'll see the difference only in synthetic benchmarks when your numbers are being squashed silly by a EVO or a Extreme2.

I would get the Crucial M500 anyday over Intel SSDs.

u could not pry my X-25E away from me.
Infact i dont think i'll ever replace that SSD, as it makes the best cache / temp / junk SSD drive, and will outlast all other vendors MLC/TLC SSD combined. :\

Well we still got 2 300GB 320 and 2 80GB X25M, and I hope we can keep those for a long time ahead. But then there was a time when Intel destroyed its own brand by changing controllers to the most unreliable there is with the 330 series and up. Plenty of Intel employees hold on to the "old" SSDs in the workstations and testservers too.

google it......

seriously, there are literally 100000's of user reports & formal reviews out there on practically every brand/model/size of SSD's, along with everything else........

personally, I have used intel's ssd's and they have performed & held up at least as well as the other major brands have in everyday computing....

however, if you are a power user, gamer, or number cruncher type that insist on squeeking every last bit of speed out of your system no matter the cost, then there are faster (albeit more expensive) drives out there....

Samsung, Plextor, and Crucial being a few of them. I currently have several of each of these, along with a few OCZ's and MSI's, and they ALL do what they are supposed to do without any problems :)

Hello,
I'm looking for a 120GB SSD and i've heard that Intel SSDs are the best
Is this right?
The one i'll probably buy is this one
http://www.macrotronics.net/product_info.php/intel-ssd-120gb-330-series-p-2852

Any advices please?

Its tough to say what brand is the best. I have a Kingston Hyper X 120 SSD and its been working great for me. My reason for not going Intel is because of the price. I have yet to hear anything bad about them, gor for it test it out.
