intel srt cache not working

I'm trying to enable the intel srt ssd caching on my computer but it's failing to see my hdd. I have a 2TB drive that I want to accelerate but the tool only selects my other 1TB and 500GB drives. I've removed the other hdds and now the accelerate tab is completely gone from the menu. This is a clean install of windows 7 and I've got the current RST driver. What's going on?

After chatting with the tech support it appears that 200MBs of unallocated space is needed on the drive in order to use it to cache. I just shrunk my partition by 200MBs and then intel RST saw my hdd in the accelerate tab. The tech support mentioned that I could probably only need 50-100 MBs of unallocated but w/e. 200MBs out of 2TBs isn't much for peace of mind

If you only have 200MB free on a 2TB drive, you need to be investing in more storage. You should be keeping tens of GBs free on it.

No the hdd is not even half full of data. There must be 200MB of unallocated (non-partitioned) space. Originally I had 1 partition the size of the whole drive. But I shrank that partition by about 200MB and left that unallocated.

Ah, OK.

Is the HDD you want to accelerate a dynamic disk, and the other two basic disks, by any chance? IIRC, SRT won't work with dynamic disks.
