Intel Speed Test

I got 3.1mbps but I have 30mbps down and 5mbps up FIOS (29.2 down/ 4.9 up average test speed).

lmao

and this part is even better: the guy was like "oh, thats prolly the right speed" when he saw my score (he knew i had comcast 2...)

My results are accurate. I get 500-600 kbit/s and I have a 600 kbit/s connection. Is an 1.33 GHz CPU strong enough for this? 😛

Of course you realize that there's an upper limit to the bandwidth they devote to this, right? From the looks of it, you can't score higher than 3.1 Mbps. You also realize that this isn't a very accurate measure designed for technically proficient people but rather to give people an idea of how fast their connection is, right?

I got 931kbs according to them and I have DSL.

What does your transfer rate have to do with the type of lips you have?

lmao... i would have gotten it much sooner if i hadn't initially thought you just horribly mangled "isp"

this imo is really funny cause some guy (worked with computers as i was told) recommended that i use this test whenever i want to test my connection...

http://www.intel.com/personal/resources/broadband/speedtest.htm

he couldnt tell that this was just ads put together by intel and the results were totally off?
(Told me my speed was 2.5Mbps when in fact it was 6Mbps when tested with a real speed test)

Tell him he's 1337 and ask him how he's knows so much.
