I've been having problems with my system lately, random reboots,BSODs,Windows has encountered a problem......
Anyway this has been happening a number of times a day for about a month and no matter what I tried even a reformat and clean XP install didn't help(Ichecked all my hardware first and different drivers)Then I put in a new CPU and all the problems stopped, that was a week ago and all seems to be fine.

Now the main question:will Intel replace the CPU for me or will it be a battle? If anybody has any feedback please let me know. Thanks in advance:)

I suggest reading the thread at Overclocker's to read about people''s northwoods suddenly dieing. I guess you can give Intel RMA a call to see if they would replace it since it is a retail product.

Where'd you buy it? Check your vendor first. They'd probably RMA it.

If you bought it at a store, then Intel's RMA policy is awesome. In the past you just had to have the CPU, the reciept, and tell them what was wrong with it, and they'd replace it, no questions asked. U.S.A. ofcourse.. over here, in China, it's a bit different. But I assume you're from the U.S.A.
