Any idea if there will be a socket 775 version of these?

I don't see a mention of the socket or platform in the article. Any idea which one they actually mean? (There are some 775-pin Xeons, too.)

Interesting that there's a 25% price premium compared to socket 775 products at the same speed... Maybe that means it is 771

You would be referring to the existing C0 stepping Xeons with higher TDP at same clockspeed, yes?

I wonder if there's any connection between these low-TDP XEON's being announced and the fact that C1 stepping Xeons are coming out soon?

I wonder what is so special about these new XEON's that they are suddenly available now at this lower TDP but they haven't been available until now. Definitely curious...
