I don't see a mention of the socket or platform in the article. Any idea which one they actually mean? (There are some 775-pin Xeons, too.)

Interesting that there's a 25% price premium compared to socket 775 products at the same speed... Maybe that means it is 771 :(

You would be referring to the existing C0 stepping Xeons with higher TDP at same clockspeed, yes?

I wonder if there's any connection between these low-TDP XEON's being announced and the fact that C1 stepping Xeons are coming out soon?

I wonder what is so special about these new XEON's that they are suddenly available now at this lower TDP but they haven't been available until now. Definitely curious...
