Intel readies dual-core Desktop chip (Dothan)

Pabster, chill dude or dudet, who gives a holy sh1t, i buy what ever is better at the time and for the foreseeable future (i.e. s939 at the time and Winchester), if Intel brings out a chip that is better then the rest and has good future potential then i am interested, otherwise i stick with what is best at the time, and as far as i can see AMD is going to be kingly for a long time, so at the moment i am AMD biased, but am a bit of a AMD Fanboi because I feel AMD put the effort in to bring out quality products, that is well worth the money .. 🙂

Oh man, I can't stand when people are THIS ignorant.

Its not Dual core Dothan, its called Yonah.

Why not call it dual core Banias?
Why not call it dual core Pentium 3?
Why not call it dual core Pentium Pro?

Yonah is not a simple slap on dual core like Smithfield.

Maybe because about 80% of the people here don't know Yonah from Smithfield?

And it remains to be seen exactly what Yonah comprises. We're all ASSUMING that it will be dual P-M (Dothan) but it is possible that Intel is ramping up to release that early and Yonah will be another beast. We'll just have to see.

No, you've been on the list for a while now.

Go fvck yourself, you little troll.

If you can't have a logical debate about ANYTHING without resorting to insults and the like, you shouldn't be debating in the first place. So STFU.

Wow, take it easy Pabster.. You have been way over the top in your last few threads.. Blasting just about everyone, and calling them trolls..

That tends to happen when every single thread turns in to a flame shoot with the same cast of characters spewing drivel to spark it.

Why? Just don't respond. If you feel they are irrational in their responses how can any rational response from you in any way affect their irrational thought patterns? By responding in an irrational manner to a reply you feel is irrational expecting a rational response is in itself irrational. Arguing with an irrational person is like arguing with gravity. You can jump as high as you want but you are coming back down (in normal jumping situations, please, no anti-gravity boot or Half Life 2 gravity gun references). Let them rant.

I am not saying Duvie, or any other poster, is rational or irrational in their replies because I have not perused them. Peace

Well of course it could come out early. And on a similar note, it is quite possible that AMD will be releasing their quad core 2.8ghz Athlon X4's tomorrow.

Wait, you mean, I'm a filthy little troll?

You know, when almost everyone thinks you are wrong maybe you should begin to wonder if maybe you are. That's what most people do anyway.

Or you could just bury your head back in the sand and clap to the sound of "Netburst, Netburst, Netburst"

ASDF! God dammit! How come EVERY thread turns out like this?

If yu look at all these threads, its Pabster against the world.... If you like Intel like your name implies, then find a way to get Pabster out of these threads... (yes I know he started this one, but he also flamed it to death)

You hear gellsinger " Opteron missing targets". Shame he cant really talk on Itanium. It's interesting to note that the Aberdeen Group had predicted broad deployment of Itanium in the first half of 2002, and by 2005, Itanium would garner 42% of all worldwide server revenue. Well, we're now in 2005, and I wouldn't call 0.009% for this year's projected server processor share as "broadly deployed".

Sorry a wee bit off topic there but its not like this thread is going anywhere and wait for it " And your the reason for it clarkey01".

In the last ten days he's slated me, Duive, Zebo & Markw900 as AMD fanboys. Alll I have to say is were performance and money fanboys. Dont like X2 creaming the Pentium D ? Jump a cliff.
