No they don't ! At least it says they plan to actually announce it as a real product on that date. Wonder if it will be paper again, or actually in stock (the the FX51 WAS)

Interesting . . . I wonder how the 3.4 will compare to the P4EE?

I was planning to get a 3.0 if I bought this year (since A64 is still bleeding edge, right Brandon? ;) ) but now I might get a toaster-oven 3.2 instead.

I've been eyeing a 2.4C processor, but biding my time until the price cut. Since a new price isn't listed in that chart, does that mean there won't be a cut for the 2.4C?

I bet it will be in the 140-150 range but may go down slower as intel is likely suggesting they wont make the 2.4c anymore and thus the supply will dwindle and hold the price more consistent with deman still hot for it....

Woohoot!!! I been waiting for the 2.8c to get closer to 200...I like the fact I may be able to get by using with my existing ram without having to get more expensive ram to oc. I will not likely get the 2.8c much past 150 at best and with a 5:4 ratio I feel my ram can run that fine!!!

The 2.6c looks really attractive there but with a target goal of 3.5ghz I would need 270's for fsb and thus some better ram!!!

Yes, 2.6C and 2.4C will be the same price, then intel will probably stop offering retail 2.4Cs (just OEM).

Someone mentioned that a person (I wont name) said the 2.8ghz prescott was abit faster or equal to a 3.2 p4c....If that is true then a 3.4ghz prescott could feel like a 3.8-3.9ghz northwood....

As for the p4ee it may only be much faster then a 3.2c non EE chip in gaming and therefore I imagine the prescott wil take it in a majority of apps. Remember the EE version was targeted at gamers and therefore that may be the only advanatge it may have over the prescott if any of this was true....

I still contend (and I think the price shows this as compare to a p4 3.4ghz prescott) that the EE was never intended to be sold or at least mass sold so it will make very little difference. Prescott will comeout and the ee version will be forgotten about unless the compatability of prescotts with current i865/i875 mobos are true and therefore someone may buy one to have it work with thier current mobo....

Screeeeeech on any orders until Oct 27th, Places like Newegg, Zipzoomfly, etc cannot be thrilled that this news may serioulsy slow orders of Intel Cpu's for more than 2 weeks. But then again on the 27th a rush of orders should be popping up.

Well...I was just about to order another 3.2ghz P4 too....guess its gonna have to wait abit. The 3.4 is selling for $637...and the current 3.2 is $606, so its a no-brainer.

So is the 2.6C as overclock friendly as the 2.4C? I've read about people hitting a 250FSB with the 2.4C with the stock fan and stock voltage.
