I do. :D

Now we know who's buying the next round...anyone who can afford that can afford to buy the house a round! ;)

Nice fanboy circle jerk :). I saw some different results, and I'm still not impressed :p.

I do agree, though, that the XE955 should be compared to the FX-60, as it's been for sale on eBay. I've seen some guys at xtremesystems.org overclock those babies, and DAMN! :D

Damn right. The 4800+ does very well against the new EE, but cmon guys, if you're gonna benchmark this paper-launched Intel chip, why not grab a FX-60(they ARE available!) and bench it too? Geez.

Because a website has to be official, AMD has not offcially launched the Athlon FX 60 yet. Whether it is a pure paper launch or not, this is a luanch from Intel and the reviewers have the A.OK. to review it.

The reviewers need to wait till the AMD gives them the go ahead in order to be able to bench it against the FX 60 which officially does not exist yet. Yes you can buy them because someone is going against AMD's orders, this is not acceptable.

Most places out there are under an NDA regarding the FX-60, so even if they happened to pay $1.5k to get a chip off ebay they could not write about it (violating an NDA is a good way to get your ass sued). The reason why we're seeing 955EE reviews is that the NDA lifted a couple of days ago.

You do realize thata 920 will probably overclock just as high and cost 1/5 the price.

I wouldn't say "just as high" for sure but I think it'll get quite close to it. Heat is probably still somewhat of a problem at such high clock speeds so it'll be a bit tough to keep these from throttling. That said I must say that it's quite regretable that Intel probably won't be releasing any faster Netbursts besides these, since the architecture obviously gained a huge amount of headroom from going 65nm...

Possibly, but some of the comments from the review sites are that the XE is completely unlocked (and they're probably hand picked), which is why they were so easy to OC...

200? Shens. I think tank guys posted their prices on the 920s and it was like $269 or something. So its doubtful we'll see them under $300.

This is only true when said website's reviewer has signed an NDA not to reveal details on a specific product they may or may not have receieved from AMD for internal testing purposes. If they snagged a chip off eBay, they would be under no obligation to leave the FX-60 out of a review they ran.

Haven't read any of these recent reviews, but Intel has sent out unlocked Engineering samples for review in the past. They're ok for showing the potential top clock of the cpu line, but not necessarily overclockability depending on what Multiplier they get locked at.

Hmm, and just who would get the Pentium EE 955 and not be getting the Athlon FX 60 soon as well, all the major sites are likely under NDA for this product and it still applies if they get one of EBay anyway as it's an NDA for the Athlon FX 60 not just the chip they get from AMD.

It doesn't really matter anyway, once AMD officially launches the Athlon FX 60 you will see it compared to the Pentium EE 955. So if you want benches for comparison wait till the official launch of the FX 60.
