intel prescott overclocking

i have a intel 2.8E prescott core

has anyone overclocked one of these? .. if so then how much?... did you notice a difference?

ive always used a northwood core but i went with the prescott this time .. i was never scared to overclock the northwood but i dont think this new chip is quite as tough

intel 2.8E 1mb L2
abit IC7-MAX3
512 Corsair XMS 3200XLPT
36gb western digital SATA raptor (10,000 rpm)

The Prescott is far tougher than the Northwood as far as thermals go... Sure, overclock it, I'd expect at least 3.4ghz out of it.

Let me know how it goes, I am getting a 2.8 prescott next week for my second system, and want to see how far I can take it.

If you would like a big heaping pile of melted junk, go for it ^^ No but seriously, if you have the proper cooling, sure.

Didn't one of the motherboard manufacturers start disabling vcore settings for Prescotts? Apparently, unlike Northwoods, they dynamically change their voltage while running and this doesn't go well with an oc'er setting a fixed voltage. So might be more risky due to that. Anyway if your mb starts melting I want pictures, hehehe.
