Would The Intel Pentium D 2.66 GHZ CPU Bottlneck for BFG 8800 GTX OC ? Also using 2 GB Ram, XP pro, ocz 600 watt psu.

The Pentium D 805 can be overclocked to around 3.6GHz with minimul effort. I use to use one as my main proc when they were released. I had it at 3.2 on an ECS P4M800-Pro so it should be able to go higher on other boards. Even at 3.6, it would still bottleneck some.

im gtn it free neways im jus waitin for an 8 pin pci-e connector and when that comes in , im set

I have a dell pc so i dont think i can overclock my cpu to make it better, but like i said b4, id take the free 8800 rather than buyin a card

The 8800GTX will definitely be bottlenecked, but you'll still be able to play CS:S and other Source games at max settings. Let us know how it runs once you install it.
