Intel pc constant lockups

Well I finished my pc build this spring and the past 3 months I have barely been using it. I'll be doing anything on my computer, live tv, internet, music, sitting idle. And it just locks up, no BSOD or anything just freezes. Only way to get it out is hard reset.

I've reinstalled Win7, with it only to lock up 5 minutes after install.
Ran Windows memory diagnostics and no problems were found.

Please help, I've ran out of ideas.

First, I would try booting into safe mode and let it sit for a while and see if it works. Safemode (as far as I know) uses default drivers, so that will tell us if it's a driver issue or not. To get into safe mode, usually you can hold F8 at the bootup of your computer.

If that does not work, I would start eliminating things such as 1 of your video cards, your 2 WD hard drives, TV Tuner card, 1 RAM stick.

That will help in identifying if you still have the issue with the bare minimum of parts. If the issue goes away, you can start adding things back in one at a time until you reach your culprit.

If the issue does not go away, try testing the RAM by booting to a memtest86 CD.

Report back here with your findings so we can help you further.

You might be overloading that PSU and that could be the source of your issues, although the only PSU-overloading issues I have ever seen will just completely power cycle the computer or shut it off instantly.
