Granite Bay is probably the best. My second choice would be PE. ASUS boards are generally pretty good, more so the Intel chipset boards (couple SiS chipset based ASUS boards have had 'issues').

Don't know much about granite bay, but Intel's 845PE is superb. Try an Asus P4PE.

I vote EPoX 4PEA+ on the 845PE chipset.... an awesome mobo.. on perhaps the best Intel chipset currently available.

For single channel DDR, there are tons of good 845PE boards. Asus, EPoX, Abit, Albatron, take your pick. For DC DDR, the Asus GB board is nice. If you want to go DC DDR and can wait for a month or so, Canterwood and Springdale (875/865) boards are due. They should be worth the wait.

Yield, I agree re the EPoX 4PEA+. Built one for a friend in December, and will be building one for myself soon. That said, why are they so dam_ed difficult to find these days? Nearly non-existent via the online dealers. I got my at Directron.com, and shortly afterward they were oos. I see they have them again, but still they're difficult to find.
