Intel or nVidia chipset

I am an MCSE with a Masters in IT. So I know a little about computers....

I am going to build a new home PC and it is going to be cutting edge.... so I would like to know which is the best chipset for my PC. I am going to be doing video editing and running the latest games like Far Cry and I need a PC with loads of power.

Which is better, the nVidia nForce4 chipset with an AMD64 CPU? or the Intel 955 chipset with an Intel CPU, or the VIA KT800 chipset?
 
With your background you should know, AMD X2 rules right now, and there are no Intel chipsets for that... so Nvidia.
