hi,
Recently i read alots of articles about Intel and Amd processor.Emm....most of it are promoting amd processor for better proformance and lower price. I was just wondering ..
is it really the truth? i mean is it Amd thunderbird processor so out perform intel p3 ?
I know that thunderbird is more overclockable but is it more stable then P3?Pls enlight me ....

Depends on what you are doing, sometimes the P3 is faster and sometimes the Athlon. They both are just as stable, the main point is that if you are going to spend lets say a $250 on a cpu you will get alot faster Athlon than a P4 for your money.

emm.... for example mainly i will use for gaming and internet maybe editting picture which one will be better or recommanded ? because i am thinking of changing to a new pc.... so pls give me some idea thanks.... the media already makes me headache 😛

For those uses you'll mostly be fine with either a PIII or an Athlon (t-bird / duron) doesn't really matter. At the moment I usually suggest durons since they're incredible bargains at the price they're at... A 700 MHz duron doesn't set you back a lot of cash, and still lets you have money left for a nice vidcard (nice to have for your gaming needs neh? 😉)

Mostly it's up to you, if you want Intel who am I to say go with AMD, but since you asked for recommendations you've got mine.

thanks for those recommandation 😛 i think currently with my bx board i will wait until next year see how things go.Hopefully the price will drop for intel so that i dont have to change my motherboard for thunderbird 😛 thanks guy !

I have allways used Intel Intil now I think AMD Is the best way to go right now Intel can not come close to AMD for performance/price and thats whats its all about best bang for the buck.

You will allways have to buy a new mobo, unless you are just looking for a P3 and not P4. The cheapest upgrade would probably wait a few weeks untill the P4 is "out" and wait for the P3 prices to drop.
