I want to buy optane help my HDD be faster.
My Z270gaming pro carbon Motherboard is support Intel Optane Ready?

Just guessing that if he wants Optane, he must already have at least 16GB RAM.

He could buy a modest capacity NVMe with performance approaching a 250GB Sammy 960 EVO, configure it, and then make it cache an HDD with PrimoCache.

I keep talking about this all the time. But the license was $30-lifetime-upgrade, and any troubles I had with it occurred with my finally successful installation of Build #1703 Win 10. I've been using it three years on four systems including one laptop.

He could most certainly put his OS on part of the NVMe, and make room on it for an ~60GB caching volume for the HDD.
