Intel N440BX

Can anyone tell me what's the fastest CPU this board will take? It is a Slot 1, and dual processor. I know it will run 100mhz PII, but wonder if I can use PIII Slot 1 100mhz also.

be careful as a 700MHz slot 1 cpu will have a coppermine core & will require your m/board voltage regulator to supply a lower voltage than the katmai core cpus.

What would the 'safest' processor to stick to? Would the 600 or 550 be best? Not sure what voltage this board supports for cpu.

i was looking at the same mobo. hope this helps... Intel N440BX Server Board Processors Supportd
