Is the "Intel 875P 800MHz FSB 8X AGP (Hyper-Threading) SATA 1 gigabit" an ok motherboard? I am probably going to buy an ABS pc very soon, and it has only this motherboard option. They used to stock the "ASUS p4c800-E deluxe", but now the cheapos put it in another higher priced model =(

So would the intel mobo be ok with a 3.0 or 3.2 P4 800mhz? Also debating to buy 1 gb corsair ram, or 2 sticks of the 256. They also got rid of the 2 sticks of corsair 512 equaling 1 gb, and now they only have a single 1gb stick. I hate when companys do this. Please let me know. Thanks =)

I don't know about that one in particular. But in general Intel boards are rock solid stable, do not always have all the extra stuff that other boards have, and don't have much in the way of OC ability. As long as you don't need something that is not on the board and don't care about OC'ing much Intel boards are great for the most part. I have never purchased one myself, but that seem to be the consensus.

From what I've heard before, Intel boards are nice boards, but they lack the customability of other boards in being able to control the voltages and bus speeds. If you're not going to do any tweaking and such, I'm sure the Intel board will serve your purposes just fine. And yes, the board will support 3.0 or 3.2 P4's with 800 mhz buses. Good luck!

Wow this forum rules! It is faster than phone support hehe. Those were fast replys, thanks! I wont be doing any overclocking at all, so I guess I will go with the intel then. I hate to buy their higher X model just for the motherboard and ram options. It also has the Sapphire Radeon 9800 PRO 128MB and 2 western digital 120 hd's and all the good extras. Thanks again for the quick replys =)
