Wildcat Lake (WCL) Specs

Intel Wildcat Lake (WCL) is upcoming mobile SoC replacing Raptor Lake-U. WCL consists of 2 tiles: compute tile and PCD tile. It is true single die consists of CPU, GPU and NPU that is fabbed by 18-A process. Last time I checked, PCD tile is fabbed by TSMC N6 process. They are connected through UCIe, not D2D; a first from Intel. Expecting launching in Q1 2026.

As Hot Chips 34 starting this week, Intel will unveil technical information of upcoming Meteor Lake (MTL) and Arrow Lake (ARL), new generation platform after Raptor Lake. Both MTL and ARL represent new direction which Intel will move to multiple chiplets and combine as one SoC platform.

MTL also represents new compute tile that based on Intel 4 process which is based on EUV lithography, a first from Intel. Intel expects to ship MTL mobile SoC in 2023.

ARL will come after MTL so Intel should be shipping it in 2024, that is what Intel roadmap is telling us. ARL compute tile will be manufactured by Intel 20A process, a first from Intel to use GAA transistors called RibbonFET.

At that point most would get a MacBook Pro 14”.

What is this pricing it’s competing with the M3 Pro???

This one is good but it’s out till 17th oct. this price is much more sane makes the base 14” M3 8GB model look like crap. Now if Apple does move to 16GB on base M4 14” then Lenovo would need to discount this one further down.

Arrow -> Nova -> Razer -> Titan IIRC.
Do you have more details? Please? Pretty please?

Even just little nuggets.

LIKE:

Which one debuts rentable units?
Which one has AVX10?
Which one goes beyond 8 P-cores?
Which one ditches the P-cores and the E-cores become the new P-cores?
Which one finally has the E-core EMBEDDED in the P-core so for low power, the P-core region shuts off during low activity?

To every one of them - Most likely none

AVX 10 is GNR and panther lake and Clearwater forest

It will get discounted anyway. That's the beauty of x86 laptops. You can actually afford them sooner or later.
Apples laptops get discounted too by bestbuy, Costco, Amazon and JB-Hi-fi after a few months. By quite a lot too

Qualcomms do as well, nothing do with x86 at all.

Apple and Price Cuts these two things can't fit in a single sentence correct me if i am wrong 🤣
I can predict base M4 will be 12GB and it will be +$100 over the previous one
