Intel Matrix Storage Manager needed?

DriverAgent.com tells me that "Intel(R) ICH9R/DO/DH 6 Port SATA AHCI Controller - 2922" is not up to date.
The driver I'm currently using is "8.3.0.1016" and I think it came with the P35 chipset driver as the numbers seem to match.
I downloaded newer 9.0 version of chipset driver but it doesn't update the 8.3.0.1016 AHCI contoller.

I'm thinking that the newest Intel Storage Matrix driver would update the driver but I'm not sure.
The decription of Intel Matrix Storage Manager says that it's for RAID but I'm not running RAID on my system.
