Intel Jasper Forest question

I was reading up on Intel's latest news on its newest server CPU, and it was called Jasper Forest.

I'm confused about one thing though.

Intel said that they've directly integrated the I/O hub into the CPU itself. What does this exactly mean?

sounds like embedded lynnfields, but I don't actually know.

I/O hub was the northbridge, memory controller, PCI-E controller, onboard GPU, and DMI bridge.

From what I've read, Intel said that they're going to have "one less bridge" on the motherboard, saving power and energy.

So that might actually be true.

However, I don't actually know which is going to disappear: the northbridge, southbridge, or both...

ANyone else know?

The mentioning of "Ibexpeak", which is the code-name for P55 chipset and PCI Express controller being the "IO Hub", sounds like Jasper Forest is Lynnfield that's aimed at embedded.

It's still two chip with CPU+something.
