Negativ. Das ATHLON war eine Vorlage von Austin, TX (Vereinigte Staaten).

With no disrespect to John or his decision to depart, I think he let himself in for criticism by posting this thread in the first place.

There are people who are going to be critical of Intel and perhaps jealous of the place he works for. My advice is to not take it so personal. Personally I am glad you and pm are proud of your company (that's the way it should be). However, don't take misguided attacks (or genuine criticism) on Intel personally and don't bother to correct every perceived misconception - it's a hopeless, thankless and ultimately imposible task

If you let the criticism get to you, it no longer becomes fun . . . and a long vacation from the forum might be in order. When you feel like it, feel free to return. Many (and I'd guess - most) of the forum members really enjoy your posts.

As I stated before, I have no axe to grind against Intel (or even Rambus, for that matter). Intel (ultimately) treated me well and I still have an Intel system (a BX board and a mildly overclocked 1.2Ghz Tualatin Celeron with an adapter, which will hold me for awhile). Very few companies are "Evil" - most companys are profit-oriented. I am glad to see that Intel treats it's employees well and has a competitive product to sell (they still have the lead in processors for Notebooks - the PIII Mobility is a Kick-ass CPU and good bang for the buck).

When it comes time for me to upgrade next year, I will be glad to look at AMD and Intel's offerings (Thoroughbred vs. Northwood).

The point of this entire long ramble was, sorry to see you go and hope you decide to return (and hope you don't take criticism of your company so personally). :)

EDIT: To work on developing a "thicker skin", I'd suggest spending some time debating controversal topics in Off-Topic and Hot Deals. This place is positively mild by comparison. :D

Obviously this Bozo hasn't ever went out and found a job on his own. He's either 1) a kid or 2) works for daddy. If John worked as a Jeep mechanic then he has nothing to be ashamed. Any job is better than none at all. Don't pee on someone else's parade; it may be your parade next and we've all drank quite a few extra ounces during this warm December. ;)

Good luck Wingz. Although there are a lot of people here who don't realize what you bring to the forums, you'll be missed. Hopefully, you'll reconsider in the future.

MADRAT:

Theres lots going on here you dont know about. I dont need a zit faced teeny bopper no money
pencil-necked Nebraska hillbilly loser like you to talk down to me. I can buy and sell you ten times over, -
trust me.
And I could prob be a better Jeep mechanic than John was.
You are one of the "nasty boys" of the forum who has some snide ass thing to say in every post, no
matter what it is.
I treat people here the way they treat me - you nasty/I nasty......you nice/I nice!
John and PM have their own forum going on Private Messages.
Note everytime some even says something negative, these two pussy boys get their poor widdle feelings
hurt, and start the PM thing.
For example, when I noted very innocently (and rightly) that this troll bait belonged elsewhere he
immediately PM'd me as follows: (then I shut it off - I know him)

Opinions on Intel's "goodness" is not a General Hardware specific post
Should be moved to "Off Topic"

As should your arrogance. <--------- His answer to me - I dared to challenge his royal ass)

To which I replied:

I am surprised an "elite" member would post a troll/flamebait thread like you did.
You know 80% peeps here have AMD, right?
Nothing else to do on a cold Fri night?
----------------------------------------------------------------

Both these 2 guys have many insulting things to say to others that dare to doubt their high and mighty
asses, but you dont ever see it. (like the "you're like a 15 year old snot nosed kid" comment mentioned)

What did he expect, posting "I think Ford is a wunnerful company" on a Chevrolet site?

They have both quit numerous times, and quite frankly, I'm getting sick and tired of it. If you cant stand
the heat, get oudda da kitchen. Do all the people at Intel wear dresses????

And BTW: I think the High Tech forum should be closed, nobody goes there, posts are 3-4 hours apart.
Replace with a resellerrating type forum, since they have now dropped the ball.

And while we're at it, I note here

Intel has $9,158,000,000 billion cash on hand currently

If they are so goddamned helpful, why dont they underwrite the rebuilding of the two World Trade Center
towers, estimated at $5 billion. Now, THAT would be a real show of Corporate giving!!!!

Nooooo!!!!

Wingz come back! We need you here man! Your advice is an asset to AT. :(

Screw what the other guys think. Just because I don't agree with some of the things Intel (as a corporation) has done in the past, doesn't mean I don't like having you here...

Quality posters like you and PM make these forums worth visiting. :)

Your true colors are in your writing. You think an awful lot of yourself "Bozo". Thats a good name for such a jerk like you, too. "Bozo". Hmmm, I think next time a stray cat comes around it will get that name. Like all strays they get some warm milk, a good meal, a soft pad to sleep on, and then a quick trip in the morning to the pound.

I can see the point Wingznut PEZ is trying to make but I think he went about saying it wrong. Anyway...

Anytime someone posts something about buying an intel or intel this, intel that, you always get some idiots who think AMD rulez come along and say something moronic like "only stupid people buy intel". Why some people here in AT can't respect other people's choices and want to belittle them is beyond me.. especially over a freaking CPU!!

There's a reason for Intel cpu's being expensive. So if you can't afford it, buy AMD and get over it.

I'm beginning to think that some of the AMD zealots are highschool punks who can't efford intel and is secretly jealous of intel owners. Otherwise there's no rational explanation for some attitudes here. I guess one way of looking at it is that they haven't come to the point in their lives, where a freaking CPU isn't much of a priority in one's life.

You want evil? If I was intel CEO and saw some of the posts here, I would decide to bite the bullet and sell P4 at cost price for a year. With their capital, they can afford to and soon, AMD will die trying to match the lower price. Now THAT would be EVIL... :D

Guys, there's no point in engaging in personal attacks. It's childish.

I know how it feels to be attacked, certainly. Hell, I'm known as the resident "AMD Zealot" as well as "VIA hater" around these parts. Of course, I have very thick skin. I don't give a rats' ass what anyone thinks.

Wingz is a great guy. Just because he happens to work for Intel isn't any reason to attack everything he says solely because you have some idea that it is "fed" by Intel or that his opinions might be biased by his employment.

The fact is, business is business. AMD would be trying to sell their flagships for $700 if they could. Intel does because they can. Do I like that? No. But that's business. It's always been that way, and always will be.

I think Wingz got a little frustrated with all the anti-Intel sentiments on the forums here and 'lashed out' so to speak. This thread would have been better in OT. But, from my standpoint, I understand.

Bozo (and the other naysayers): You'd love to have a position at Intel, as would anyone else. Try putting the shoe on the other foot.

Now, go ahead and flame me. I've got a thick suit and a flamethrower is useless against me :D

The way I see it, I have two choices here; either lock this thread, or ban half the participants. Since I'm feeling lazy and locking is only one click, you people got lucky.
