Now that i fugured out that i can get the actual CPU core temperature of my Celeron2 without using any thermistor, i am curious to see what other people are getting with their Intels using the same method! Im running a celery2 633@950 and it fluctuates from about 118F to 125F. Seems hot to me but I know that it will be because it is "core" temp and plus i think this method usually gives higher than the actual temp.

so if you use this method for reading your cpu temp please post it here!

if you dont know what im talking about read
this post!

P3-650E @ 982 @1.75 volts
Asus CUSL2, reading off the Internal Diode.
Bios 1003.004

CPU temp is 105F,

Ambient temp is 75F.

Currently Running a taisol heatsink.

Yes, It does give a higher temperature than a thermistor based reading, but it is also much more accurate

scrubman,

Your temperature is right on if you are running Windows 9x without any software cooler.

If you run Windows NT or Windows 2000, the core temperature would be 90-95 F at idle and at about 120F at full load.

scrubman,

If you are running OS W9x and do not have a software cooler, you should use one.
