I have a Gateway P III with the Intel integrated video 82815 chipset onboard. There is an AGP (4x) slot for a video card and I would like to install a Radeon graphics card. Do I have to disable the onboard hardware? Do I have to uninstall the Intel video driver? Is there any other peparation needed, other than to inset the Radeon into the slot?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

I've got an Abit 815E board & Radeon running on it. All I did was choose the AGP (maybe PCI, I forget), option in the BIOS and away I went. Get into that BIOS set-up and see what kind of options you've got.

Yes to both. Disable the onboard video in the BIOS and uninstall the driver using add/remove programs. If Windows installed the driver then you don't need to do anything for the second step.
