Hm, a quick search gives me an indication that it's fairly good at dota 2. Although that indication is from SemiAccurate, so although it's a direct review, take with a few grains of salt.
More importantly, see that processor that's doing almost as well? That's an A10-5800K. It's less than half the price of a 4770k. For gaming without a discrete GPU, a 4770k is an overpowered CPU with relatively poor graphics.
i haw read but dont remeber where to post the link that it playes dota2 in ultra the hd4600 but needed more info for that i wanted to upgrade pc i play only dota if the igpu playes it really i go with haswell becouse cant buy theese month a gpu. thank you pls if anyonw knows exactly write here
Buy an AMD A10-5800k. For what you want to do, it offers vastly better bang-for-the-buck.
Why do people keep recommending the outdated A10-5800K when A10-6800K Richland is on sale?
I would rather go with an dual-core Pentium G2020 (or similar) $65 and HD7770 for $80.
Faster than A10-6800K in games and GPU is faster. Then when the OP saves money for a quad-core CPU, he can pick up a 3570K and overclock it as he becomes familiar with PC hardware.
If you start off with A10-6800K, the entire platform is going to be CPU limited with no reasonable upgrade path.
iFati, if you want to a fast CPU such as 4770K, the GPU is already free. You can just buy that and if the GPU is not satisfactory for your needs, buy a discrete card. If you are only looking for a light gaming system, then go with G2020 and HD7770.
i am curious to know if it can i mean the 4770k with igpu hd 4600 will play games without gpu.
if anyone knows how will it play dota 2 , cs-go.
sorry for my bad english
ty for advice i know that thoose are noobish questions but i just read the overclocking never tryed and wanted to go with 4770k i am not ultra gamer but i need new pc. first of all if i go with asus z87-pro and i7 4770 and asus gtx 660 2gb and 16 gb ram than why is beter the 4770k why i need to overclock? what the efect of the overclocking

Since, I own a G2020, I have the right to say. It's really not that much better than a 7-year old Conroe @ 2.9 Ghz (I've toyed with both, yes). Get something better. Dual-core gaming is a thing of the past now (even though, you can find plenty of benchmarks saying otherwise). FX 6300 or SB i5, is the minimum, I recommend for modern games, today.

With regards to HD7770, I've had it and I have sold it since. It's a terrible card if you like PhysX-enabled games. Even with a much slower Geforce 640, I had a much better / more consistent experience in Borderlands 2. If I must go with Radeon, I'd get at least 7790.
Alternatively, wait for PS4. Cheaper, hassle-free option.
I missed that part. Thanks for pointing it out. I think, HD 4600 is great if you have a later discreet GPU in mind. Also, that BGA SKU with Iris onboard looks like a good deal as well, but I haven't seen it on the market yet.for someone considering gaming with the HD 4600 I think a dual core pentium is a smaller problem,
Geforce 660 / 7870 is the minimum that I recommend for my clients. Reason, why no 7850 is because, OC is a hit or miss and usually involves a good deal of tweaking, and most people are not interested in that (OC also, gives extra headache in maintenance such systems).but I totally agree, for a better gaming experience there is no point in going lower than an i5, but also no point in going lower than let's say a 7870.
Of course, it doesn't. Just saying when it's out, it would be a much better investment than a similar high-end PC option. Most people don't buy and sell all the time.PS4 does not exist at the moment, and it's probably going to cost over $400!?

The only reason I recommended G2020 + HD7770 is if the OP was considering A10-5800/6800K. I would never recommend such as a setup against an i5 + mid-range discrete GPU. However, for a budget build to give OP time to save $$ for an i5 12 months from now if he needs to, G2020 + HD7770 would smoke the A10-6800K in games.
GT640 is trash for modern gaming. It's going to be 85-100% slower than HD7770 in games on average and loses horrendously to even an HD7750:

Depends on your setup and requirements. 640 is quite good on lower resolutions and / or details. Besides, it does a good job when used as a dedicated PhysX card. Most importantly, its performance is very consistent. Working as advertised, no deep sleep bugs, etc (I've had with the Radeons).PhysX on budget cards is a waste of time when the card can't play any modern games at 1080P with PhysX enabled.

You are correct. It bares no relevance to the topic. My bad. In my actual gaming experience, HD7770 proved to be a disaster (it was the card I meant to replace 640 actually). I guess, I just wanted the OP to be aware of the other games, should he choose to play.I am too lazy to look for BL2 benchmarks of GT640 vs. HD7770 but since the OP didn't even mention BL2, nor PhysX, I do not know why you brought it up.
I am sure, there are cases such as you have outlined above.GT640 is 50-60% slower than HD5770. Now let's look at DOTA 2 benchmarks of HD7770 vs. HD5770:
Of course if the budget permits, something like an i5 4670K + GTX660/HD7870 is a much better system than i7 4770K with HD7770 / onboard IGP.
i use pc just for gaming and read web. i dont know i really like asus than if u have time watch asus z87 plus is it good. i am afraighy of K read that u can use it just for 1 year and so.
