Yeaaa.. 🙂

* EDIT: http://www.manta.com/c/mwkcjk8/coffeehots

Apparently they're based out of Sarasota, FL -- so, if anyone wants to pay them a visit..

Dont jump to conclusions. 😛 Also, the checkout is from paypal. They have an option if you dont have a paypal account, you can enter a credit card and it still goes through paypal.

I ordered one, we'll see what happens. I dont care too much. This is the whole reason for credit cards.

Also, if you want to spend $20 more, ncix.com might pricematch their price. Some others have confirmed PM's from them. However, I have also seen some denied PM's from them today too, very inconsistent. You aint going to get the PM at $240 though, it will be $260 before tax and shipping if you do get it.

i bit seems legit it appears to be a site under auctiva services i wonder if this seller is also on ebay. I hope he/she ships soon would be upset if it takes 2 weeks to get here.

It might be a scam. I wish I had a login to HardOCP because I saw this there too (dont' feel like signing up just to post this), and was about to jump on this. If someone else has a login there, please tell them, and direct them to this thread:

From the last post of that thread:

Coffeehots.net is a scam in that they take your order, then place an order with a direct manufacture using a stolen credit card. That is why a the one person's order was stopped and Fedex sent it back. These are some fairly smart scammers, Yu LI and Shannon Twomey. They also have the same scam going on with their other store tarakit.com So beware, you might be contacted by the Feds. I know this first hand, so always do some research when the price is too good and you have never heard of the company.

I bolded the part which I think is good advice for everyone to remember...

If anyone is nervous about ordering from these guys you could always try to do a price match on NCIX.com. I just finished an order for an i5 2500k pricematched to microcenters price of $179.99 and it went through ok.

The only problem I had was that they wanted a credit card payment to complete the order with. After the order was completed I just emailed them and switched it to paypal and everything went smoothly.

It might be a crap shoot getting a price match, but at this price it would be worth a shot.

I have read through all of the previous coffeehots posts beforehand. The person saying that has a very low post count and he is really just speculating with no proof. That doesnt really convince me. I will say, they do look a bit sketchy. I purchased two, will have to see what happens.

ResellerRatings is OK, 7.5/10. Looks legit, but like most of these smaller online stores that are run by one or a couple people, communication is terrible. As long as your order goes through fine it's not a big deal, but if something goes wrong (item lost during shipment, DOA, etc.), good luck getting it resolved. Just make sure you pay with a CC, though, and chargeback can always be used as a last resort.

I'd be more worried about it being stolen or illegally obtained merchandise than the store not shipping it out.

yes I have suspected some sellers on ebay mostly were from Russia and other Western European countries selling SSD's older and current generations brand new for well under their value each seller had like 5 total perfect feedback and each buyer leaving feedback was also sub 10 total feedback, last month from i have seen a revolving amount of them and after a week or two they were no longer resigtered on eBay every time.
