2nd Generation Intel® Core™ i3-2310M processor 2.10 GHz
4GB3 Single Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1333MHz
500GB4 SATA hard drive (7200RPM)
Intel HD Graphics/HD Graphics 3000 with up to 1.6GB Dynamic Video Memory

i have a query...will my laptop lag when i watch HD movies. Or use multi tasking.

If a cheaper and less powerful AMD E-350 based netbook could fulfill all your requirements I do not see why a more powerful Core i3 would have any problems at all.

as someone who is using an E-350 setup, I sure would not recommend it all to be his main pc for what he is asking of it. this is not a setup made for heavy multi-tasking at all and it does not take much for the cpu to become overburdened.

That should be a plenty powerful system. If you need more RAM down the road, you can get 8GB (2x4GB) for about $65-70 and upgrade. 4GB should be fine for now with the solid i3.

If you think you need a little more power, the i5 might not be much more, but otherwise the system looks good.

for your usage scenario that laptop is fine. an i3 is a very strong processor. and while the HD graphics are not very powerful, this has barely any impact on watching HD movies or even playing some light games.
