Cool thanks. While I am motivated and having used everyone's time on this thread, I'm probably just going to upgrade anyway. It won't be long before they're playing Far Cry or Battlefield or something similar, so I'll at least give them a fighting chance with something a little more powerful than the integrated graphics.

If that's the case, take a peek inside and the cables coming out of the power supply. If there's a 6-pin video connector, you might be able to handle something like the new Radeon R7 360... possibly even as much as a stock-speed Geforce GTX 960 (certainly the 950 coming very soon.)

If not, at least the GTX 750TI is pretty speedy and barely sips power at all! Without a pricey power supply upgrade, that's the BEST and fastest low-watt card on the market. Bar none.

I don't know why power supplies have gotten so expensive lately! :(

Yeah, that connector is the first thing I looked for. No dice :(

Kids usually want to play various games. They may not stick long to one or two games. That is why I recommended a GTX 750 Ti 2GB (unless you are also willing to change the power supply and possibly the case).

If you had a better power supply, the missing 6-pin PCI-E power connector problem could be easily solved with a 2xMolex to 6-pin adapter, but I would not use something like this on a 300 watt power supply.
