Yea thats a timebomb.....wont last long. Im sure that was for benching only though.

Oh, @ 1.507 i have a hard time believing this is 24/7

Timebomb is correct.

If he does have it at 1.507, then he's probably someone like me who doesnt care when a chip goes POP.

2GB of DDR3 may be all I look at when I make the switch....but eh probably not.

Ner. It will take a good while before 2GB of DDR3 is alot faster then 2GB of DDR2, plus ram is so cheap these days.

I remember back in 98 upgrading to 64 from 32 cost me £80 !!

DDR3 is getting cheaper. I remember when I paid nearly $300 for my DDR2 ballistix. Now they are in the neighborhood of $50.

Yes, it may not be a stable overclock or for 24/7 use. It's still an accomplishment nonetheless to run 3dmark03 on air at 4.8 ghz. Most screenshots I've seen are all 1M superpi runs at or around 1.5 volts at 5ghz. So to able to run 3d at 4.8 is pretty sweet.

Again this is sweet if you bench but most people around AT don't. It's all about stability, stability, stability, stability...

That's why you'll never see me post 32M records or 1M scores since no one cares about those things around here. It's all about... "show me your 283253273859273593872 hour prime95 screenshot to prove stability."

I didnt even need a voltage bump or timing change.

edit: 2x1GB to 4x2GB

yes but you can run 4-4-4 in 2x1GB at 500mhz+

i highly doubt you can run 4-4-4 in 4x2GB at 500mhz+.

While i agree that i probably cant, i will readily debate whether those timings actually do anything nowadays.
