You're welcome. Also, if you go through F@twallet links, you can get 1% cashback = $200.32 after coupon and F@tcash.

Click on coupon link and add to cart.
Go to FW and click on 1% store cashback link.
Add E8400 to cart and checkout.
Collect 1% Fatcash in a few months.

Use cashback rewards credit card for even more savings! 🙂

Any news on the 8500?
The actual release date is just 4 days away... And I have to wonder, is $80 for 160 more MHz worth it?

Most should probably say no, but for my work situation it pays to be able to squeeze everything I can out of them so I'll probably go with the 8500 (betting they will o/c a little better than the 8400's), particularly if they are available soon.

I tired to use that coupon when I orderd and it worked until I logged in, then it said it was no longer valid. Ah well, I was too lazy to create a new account just to get $10 off when I was not sure how much longer the stock would last.

Sorry, it was valid earlier! 🙁

Well, they are OOS anyway. You can get it for $197.95 after shipping rebate at Onsale.com (linked above). (even less if you get a credit card rewards rebate)

I actually ordered it hours ago when the coupon apparently still was valid and they had the cpu in stock. Unfortuantly as soon as I signed in it told me the coupon was no longer valid. If I signed out it was valid again so it did not like my account. It's all good, I was willing to pay $211, now I just have to wait for it and the rest of my parts to arrive.

buy is oos i thought. quick question anyone who buys this chip and has gigabyte 965p-DS3- let me know if they work together.

Both pcsuperstore.com and eCost.com were In Stock when ordered and then back ordered in the confirmation email even when their sites still say In Stock. I'm done trying and I'll just wait till Monday.

yeah i think pcsuperstore & buy.com are OOS. if you check the SD link and some posts here at AT, you will see where people have had their pcsuperstore orders shipped yesterday, with confirmation, tracking and arrival today or tommorow.

most of those links i put up are OOS now. only a few are still up and as to their reliability - its hit & miss. good luck.

Anyone who ordered from BLT receive a tracking number yet? I still haven't received any confirmation e-mail since ordering yesterday, and am beginning to worry a bit. The fact that they have no Customer Service # on their site also doesn't help 🙁

Edit1: Nm, just found this contact # if you're having problems.

hold on a sec.... the e8400 is faster, runs cooler, uses less power and OC's better than the e6850... and yet, it costs only ~$210 whereas the e6850 is $280? how does that make sense?

so why hasn't the e6850 plummeted in price then?

Same reason the E6600 is still more expensive than the E6750? Intel don't bother changing the retail I guess.

In for one from compsource. Backordered status now. Hope mine went through since it says AVAILABLE when i ordered it.
