Well I just got an email from pcsuperstore and my e8400 has shipped out! I get a tracking number in a few hours...

As of 12AM EST / 9PM EST, all Ingram Micro warehouse locations show a negative balance on hand, ie. they're sold out. This means most major online retailers are now OOS. A couple still show it in stock but when you check availability it goes OOS. BUY.CON is a great indicator for Ingram as well, and they're now showing OOS.

A la the Q6600, the 8800GT, et al, I now pronounce ...

Let the gouging begin !

Just about every link in that thread now shows OOS. The couple that don't are in error as they too use Ingram Micro (ex. Onsale.com).

UPDATE : All Ingram locations now show anywhere from a couple hundred to a couple thousand units "DUE". In fact, they're listed as "PAST DUE".

This seems to be the first "wave" of product landing. Better grab one fast before they're gone and prices climb.

Did anyone receive a tracking number from antares digital?

Thank you

edit: I just sent them a very nice email asking when I could expect the package to ship.

Antares seems like it is run out of a single small warehouse... when I talked to customer service earlier, there was a lot of hussle and bustle going on, a lot of confusion... and they are very informal in their email and phone communications.

Edit2: HOLY HELL... about 10 seconds after I sent the email, I was returned with another email with tracking number. UPS says billing info received.

I may be a happy camper yet

Not any more they aren't. Betcha anything the price goes up too.

In fact at least one of the links above shows it at over $230. I want one, but I'll wait till the fuss dies down. Six months should do it. My e6750 is hummin' along just fine...

normally I'd agree with your assessment..... but for me this is an all new build.

my current rig is hummin along at a 3.25 years' age pathetic rate.. was essentially a WoW / HL2 machine and did its job fairly well.

I needed my CPU ASAP ... glad such an option even existed at this time 🙂
