Intel E8400: is there a good place to pre-order?

I am looking to get on asap. I don't mind paying 200-215 or so. I have never bothered to pre order a chip before.

Any suggestions/tips? Reliable shops?

I usually purchase through ZZF or newegg.

Just wait until release date many manufacturers will have it on site.

SHOPBLT/Newegg/ZZF/Tigerdirect always have the chips the day they come out.
 
I pre-ordered mine a few weeks ago from Antares Digital. In fact the site says they are currently in stock. I emailed to see when the ship date would be and got a responce back from Lili within minutes (great service). She said they would be in on Friday.
 
If you break embargo and sell them before the 21 in the US, you can kiss getting the chips again anytime soon.

They are out in supply channels throughout the world, however it seems the US is the only one that actually takes the embargoes seriously.

My 1000th post was totally a waste as well...
 
Well if they ship it out Friday it probably wont get here till Tuesday at the earliest. Or maybe they will just wait till Monday to ship it, we'll see.

Every time I click the stock button it gives me a new number available from 35-245?

Anyone else having that problem?

It's not fluctuating for me, but it is down to 59 now. Either it's selling like hell or there's something fishy going on.
